My Trip Diary
After returning home from my trip to Jeonju the day before, I stopped by Gwanghallu Pavilion in Namwon. I drink as if I were Hanryang at Gwanganru in Namwon.
Introduce
Gwanghallu was originally a place where Hwang Hui, a nobleman, was exiled to Namwon in 1419 and built a small pavilion called “Gwangtongru” to enjoy landscapes.
Later, in the 26th year of King Sejong's reign (1444), Hadong Buwon-gun Jeong In-ji fell in love with the beautiful scenery of this place and changed the name to 'Gwanghallu' after 'Gwanghancheongheobu' in Wolgung, where Hang-ah, the beauty of the moon, lives. Gwanghan means Moon Palace. Chunhyang and Lee Mongryong also met here for the first time and fell in love. (Treasure No. 281) (more)
